It is most important to practice “leading” your target. To become successful at air combat in this game it is an essential skill that you must master. It involves judging where your bullets and the target will intercept, in three dimensions. Luckily your gun sight will turn red when you have an enemy targeted for a successful hit.
If you lose your bearings while you have an enemy locked on use the look to target feature to quickly locate the enemy position.
You cannot use arcade mode when playing in cockpit view and the controls will default to professional mode when you enter cockpit view. Unless you are comfortable with serious flight sim games, cockpit view and professional controls will prove to be a challenge for the casual gamer.
Know which direction the enemy is approaching from and take the fight to them before they reach their targets.
Use your upgrade points wisely. Waiting until you have unlocked better planes before you spend all those hard earned points may work to your advantage. Always look to see if what you are upgrading to will benefit you in your next mission.
